Disturbance in Jay leads to arrest for aggravated domestic assault

JAY — Police were dispatched to a report of a domestic disturbance at Jay Peak Resort.

On Nov. 25, at 6:59 p.m., officers conducted an investigation which indicated that Sean Montgomery, 38, of Lowell, had inflicted injuries on multiple household members.

Following the investigation, Montgomery was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Derby Barracks for processing.

After processing, Montgomery was lodged at the Northern State Correctional Facility.

He is being held for lack of $100 bail and faces charges of second-degree aggravated domestic assault.

The Vermont State Police have not released the names of the victims in accordance with policies to protect individuals in cases of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Montgomery is awaiting a court appearance where he will respond to the charges.

Further details about the incident were not immediately available, and the investigation remains ongoing.
