Boston police identify victim in Glenville Ave homicide

BOSTON — Boston police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in Allston.

At about 2:27 a.m., on Nov. 25, officers assigned to District D-4 responded to a call for two people shot at 85 E. Newton Street.

Upon arrival, they found two adult males with gunshot wounds.

One of the men, later identified as 32-year-old Marco Alfonso Sosa of Lynn, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other victim’s injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.

The investigation revealed that the shooting took place in a parking lot across from 12 Glenville Ave., at the rear of 161 Harvard Ave.

The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
