Boston drug bust yields fentanyl, crack cocaine

BOSTON — Officers from the Drug Control Unit of District B-2 arrested an 18-year-old Boston man on multiple drug charges following a patrol operation in response to community complaints on Wednesday, Nov. 22.

At approximately 12:57 p.m., officers observed a suspect, later identified as Julius Fontellio, engaging in what appeared to be a drug transaction with a group of individuals near Chesterton Street and Alerton Street.

After conducting an investigation and stopping two individuals who separated from the group, officers seized about 9 grams of fentanyl, 16 grams of crack cocaine, and $871 in cash.

Fontellio was handcuffed, arrested, and charged with possession of class A with intent to distribute, possession of class B with intent to distribute, and distribution of class A.

He is scheduled to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.

The second individual was informed that he would receive a court summons for distribution of class A drugs.

The arrests are part of ongoing efforts to address drug-related community concerns and improve the quality of life in the Roxbury area.
