Police offer reward for man who rammed police car in Bethel

BETHEL — The Windsor County Sheriff’s Department is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of Kyle Pickett, last seen fleeing in a stolen vehicle after a dangerous pursuit through downtown Bethel.

Pickett was involved in a high-speed chase on Nov. 24, during which he rammed a sheriff’s cruiser driven by Sheriff Palmer, causing significant damage.

The pursuit was eventually called off due to the perilous driving displayed by Pickett, who was last seen in a damaged 2008 Subaru Outback with the Vermont license plate 3BV64.

The vehicle was reported stolen from the Randolph area.

Authorities describe Pickett as a 28-year-old male, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing between 165 and 180 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.

His date of birth is listed as Dec. 8, 1994.

Pickett is considered armed and dangerous, and the public is advised not to approach him but to contact the Windsor County Sheriff’s Department at 802-457-5211 with any information.

Pickett is wanted out of New Hampshire and was last seen driving dangerously through Bethel.

The motive for his actions and his current whereabouts remain unknown.

Officials are urging anyone with information to come forward, with the assurance that their help could lead to a safer community.
