Driver arrested on DUI charges after crash in Bethel

BETHEL — Vermont State Police arrested a Massachusetts man on suspicion of driving under the influence following a crash on River Street late Wednesday night.

Troopers responded to a call around 9:24 p.m. reporting the incident.

Upon arrival, they identified the driver as 24-year-old Zachary Luscombe from Worcester, Massachusetts.

According to the authorities, Luscombe displayed signs of impairment at the scene.

He was subsequently taken into custody and charged with DUI.

Luscombe was released with a citation and is scheduled to appear in Windsor Superior Court to face the DUI charge.

No further details regarding the crash or potential injuries were immediately available.
