ROXBURY — Members of the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested a man Wednesday morning in connection with a shooting that occurred last August.

At about 11:15 a.m., on Nov. 22, Dimitri Harris, 31, of Roxbury, was apprehended in the area of 15 Fenelon Street.

Harris was wanted on outstanding warrants from Roxbury District Court, including charges of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, and vandalism of property.

The arrest stems from an incident that took place at around 9:27 p.m., on Aug. 13, when officers responded to reports of a shooting at the intersection of Hollander Street and Crawford Street.

They found a victim with a gunshot wound who was subsequently transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Harris is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.

The investigation into the shooting continues as authorities work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the event.
