St. Albans police seek suspect in Breakyard Convenience Store robbery

ST. ALBANS — Saint Albans police are searching for a suspect involved in a robbery at the Breakyard Convenience Store located at 97 Federal Street.

The incident occurred on Jan. 17 at around 9:38 p.m. when officers responded to a panic alarm triggered at the store.

The male suspect, described as having a medium build and standing between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall, entered the convenience store five minutes prior to the alarm, at approximately 9:33 p.m.

The man was wearing a distinctive red and black waist-length winter jacket with a hood, coupled with a black balaclava to obscure his face.

He demanded cigarettes and cash from the store personnel.

While no weapons were shown during the robbery, the suspect left the premises with an undisclosed amount of money and goods.

Authorities have released photographs of the suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual.

The Saint Albans Police Department urges anyone with information regarding the robbery or who can identify the person in the photos to come forward.
