Newfane hit by string of overnight burglaries; police seek person of interest

NEWFANE — Multiple residential burglaries have been reported involving homes on Wildwood Acres and Grimes Hill Road, officials said Tuesday.

The break-ins are believed to have occurred during the night of Nov. 20 into the early hours of Nov. 21.

According to police, the suspect gained entry by forcibly using a crowbar to break into the homes.

Authorities have released images of a person of interest and are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the individual.

Vermont State Police are urging anyone with information, or those who may have residential surveillance footage from the area, to come forward.
