Orwell shooting under investigation, suspect sought

ORWELL — The Vermont State Police is actively investigating a shooting incident that occurred late on Friday, on Fisher Road in Orwell. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.

Authorities are seeking Trent J. Beayon, 23, with known ties to Burlington and Orwell.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Beayon, charging him with attempted murder, reckless endangerment, and aggravated assault.

According to details from the court documents, the incident unfolded when Beayon, visiting the residence, became involved in a dispute with several individuals, including Paxton Taube, 25, a resident of the home.

During the confrontation, Beayon allegedly fired at least one round from a semiautomatic 9mm handgun at Taube, who was not injured.

Beayon left the scene following the incident.

Currently, Beayon’s location is unknown. He is described as a white male, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, with dark blond or brown hair and blue eyes.

The Vermont State Police have released a photo of Beayon to aid in his identification.
