Wallingford man arrested for domestic assault

WALLINGFORD — A Wallingford man was arrested late Wednesday night following a domestic assault incident on Tifft Road.

Vermont State Police responded to the scene at approximately 8:38 p.m. after receiving a report of the altercation.

The accused, 59-year-old Luke Godin, allegedly caused pain and injury to a household member.

Following an investigation, Godin was taken into custody and processed at the Rutland Barracks.

He has been released with conditions and is scheduled to appear at the Rutland County Superior Court Criminal Division on Nov. 20 at 12:30 p.m.

Authorities have not released the name of the victim in accordance with policies protecting those involved in cases of domestic violence and sexual assault.

The Vermont State Police continue to investigate the incident.
