Truck driver unharmed after rollover crash in Benson

BENSON — A California truck driver walked away without injuries after his vehicle rolled over on VT RT 22A near Lake Road on Nov. 17.

At 7:13 p.m., Vermont State Troopers responded to the incident involving a 2024 Kenworth T680 operated by Sharnjit Singh, 29, of Fresno, California.

According to the investigation, Singh’s truck left the wet roadway during a rainstorm, rolled over, and came to rest approximately 20 feet to the west of the highway.

The truck was deemed totaled, but Singh, who was wearing a seatbelt, did not sustain any injuries.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Emergency responders, including the Fair Haven Rescue Squad and the Benson Fire Department, attended the scene alongside Earle’s Truck Repair to assist with the recovery and clear-up operations.
