Burglary at Stamford Elementary School, safe stolen

STAMFORD — In the early hours of November 17, 2023, the Vermont State Police responded to a burglary alarm at Stamford Elementary School. The incident was reported at approximately 12:02 a.m.

Upon arrival, troopers discovered an unlocked window with its screen pushed up, suggesting a point of entry.

A search of the premises revealed that an intruder had entered the building but had already fled the scene. It was determined that a small safe containing money had been stolen from the main office.

Security camera footage from the school captured the offender dressed in all black, including a winter hat and facemask.

Vermont State Police are actively seeking information from the public regarding the burglary.
