Boston police arrest man on drug trafficking charges after executing search warrants

BOSTON — Boston Police arrested 25-year-old Angel A. Carmona on drug trafficking charges in Dorchester after executing a series of search warrants, officials said.

Members of the District B-2 (Roxbury) Drug Control Unit, along with the District C-11 (Dorchester) DCU and the DEA Task Force, carried out the warrants issued by Roxbury District Court.

The operation led to the seizure of 11 grams of crack cocaine in six plastic bags, a large plastic bag containing 31 grams of fentanyl, $8,590 in cash, drug paraphernalia, and several pieces of high-end jewelry.

Carmona, a Dorchester resident, was apprehended following a traffic stop that occurred before the execution of the search warrants.

At the time of his arrest, he was found to be driving on a suspended license.

The charges against Carmona include Trafficking Class A and Fentanyl, Possession With Intent to Distribute Class B, and operating a motor vehicle without a license.

He is expected to face these charges at his arraignment at Roxbury District Court.
