EAST BROOKFIELD — A 38-year-old East Brookfield man was arrested Nov. 9 by the Leicester Police Department on charges related to the trafficking of stolen firearms, authorities said.

The arrest followed a months-long investigation by the LPD Detective Bureau into several guns stolen from a Leicester residence.

The probe revealed that the firearms were sold shortly after the theft.

Detectives have since recovered a number of the stolen weapons, including one found in Milford, New Hampshire.

The suspect was arraigned in East Brookfield District Court on multiple charges, including trafficking 3-9 firearms, seven counts of larceny of a firearm, seven counts of possession of a firearm without an FID/LTC, larceny from a building, and larceny over $1,200.

Following his court appearance, the man was released on bail.
