ST. JOHNSBURY, VT — On November 11, 2023, at approximately 2:22 p.m., Vermont State Police from the St. Johnsbury Barracks responded to a report of a stolen vehicle at Pettyco Junction Country Store located at 12 VT-18, St. Johnsbury, VT.

The vehicle, a 2008 BMW 328xi with a silver color and Vermont temporary tag “W139199,” was reported stolen by its owner, Brannan Lacourse, 32, of Colebrook, NH.

The BMW, distinguishable by one white and one orange rim on the driver’s side and a sanded-down exterior in preparation for painting, was left in the parking lot with keys in the center console for a scheduled tow.

However, when the wrecker service arrived, the vehicle was missing.

Witnesses from the country store reported seeing a male exit a silver sedan and enter Lacourse’s BMW before driving away.

The Vermont State Police is seeking public assistance in identifying the silver sedan and the male suspect.

Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact Trooper Pearson at the St. Johnsbury Barracks.
