Fairlee man arrested on New Hampshire extraditable warrants

FAIRLEE — Vermont State Troopers apprehended a local man Tuesday on multiple charges stemming from an active, extraditable warrant out of New Hampshire.

At approximately 2 p.m., authorities located 52-year-old Sean McGurk at his residence on Batchelder Road.

McGurk was wanted in New Hampshire for operating a vehicle after being certified as a habitual offender, disobeying an officer, and driving after suspension for DUI, according to official reports.

Following his arrest, McGurk was processed at the Bradford Outpost.

He was later lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility pending extradition to New Hampshire.

The charges against McGurk include serious motor vehicle violations indicating a history of non-compliance with driving laws.

The Vermont State Police have not released further details about the extradition process or any additional charges that may be pending against McGurk.
