Bethel man arrested on burglary and warrant charges

BETHEL — Today at approximately 4:10 p.m., Vermont State Police in Royalton responded to a tip about the location of Joshua Stone, 25, of Bethel, wanted for burglary and multiple violations of release conditions.

Authorities received information that Stone was seen at the Shell gas station on Main Street in Bethel.

Stone had an outstanding arrest warrant for burglary and three violations of conditions of release. Additionally, he was a suspect in another burglary case.

Upon arriving at the gas station, troopers located Stone in a vehicle. He was apprehended without incident and transported to the Royalton barracks for processing.

During processing, Stone received a citation in connection with the burglary investigation.

Stone was subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility.

He is held on $5,000 bail for the warrant and an additional $2,500 bail for the burglary charge. T

he Vermont State Police have not released any information regarding the victims in these cases.
