Rutland woman arrested for cocaine possession, providing false information to police

RUTLAND — Vermont State Police arrested a local woman on multiple charges including possession of cocaine and providing false information following a traffic stop Saturday evening.

Amy Mollison, 32, of Rutland, was pulled over by troopers at approximately 5:58 p.m. on State Street for a vehicle violation.

During the stop, troopers detected signs of drug activity, prompting a call for a K9 unit and the seizure of the vehicle pending a search warrant.

Mollison was also detained pending the warrant, which was later granted by the court.

A subsequent search revealed evidence of drugs on her person and in the vehicle.

Mollison was lodged at Marble Valley Regional Correction Facility with bail set at $1,000 and is scheduled to appear in Rutland Criminal Court to face charges of cocaine possession, providing false information to police, impeding an investigation, and possession of a stimulant.
