Barton man escapes injury in single-vehicle crash on Burton Hill Road

BARTON — A Barton man was transported to the hospital as a precaution after a single-vehicle crash on Burton Hill Rd on Nov. 10 at 10:06 a.m.

Dominic Brown, 21, was driving his 2014 Toyota Tacoma when he reportedly lost control due to excessive speed for the wet road conditions, the Vermont State Police said.

Brown’s vehicle was totalled after crossing into the opposite lane and crashing off the side of the road.

Following the accident, Brown was given a ride to the Orleans Ambulance bay and subsequently taken to North Country Hospital.

Authorities confirmed that no injuries were sustained in the crash.

Wrights Towing responded to the scene to assist with the recovery of the vehicle.

Brown has been issued multiple tickets related to the crash.

The Vermont State Police continue to investigate the incident.
