PELHAM — A local woman was arrested Tuesday by the Pelham Police Department on charges related to an ongoing child sexual assault investigation.

Rebecca Aubuchont, 27, of Pelham, was taken into custody on a Manchester Police Department warrant, facing two felony counts of Falsifying Physical Evidence, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and violations of the Child Protection Act – Persons Required to Report.

The arrest follows an investigation initiated in June after allegations of child sexual assault were made against Aubuchont’s partner, James Aubuchont.

James was arrested by Manchester Police Detectives in July and charged with Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault of a minor.

An indictment in October added 41 counts to his charges, including additional counts of Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault involving a different victim, Possession and Manufacture of Child Sexual Abuse Images, Witness Tampering, Falsifying Physical Evidence, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Rebecca Aubuchont’s arrest stems from her alleged involvement in the case.

She was arraigned on Wednesday and released on personal recognizance bail.

The investigation is still active, and authorities urge anyone with information to contact Detective Adrianne Davenport at (603) 792-5549.
