Major drug bust in Holyoke nets fentanyl, cocaine and arrests

HOLYOKE — A significant drug raid on Nov. 8 led by the Holyoke Police Department Narcotics/Vice Unit, in collaboration with the FBI Western Massachusetts Gang Task Force and other law enforcement agencies, resulted in the seizure of large quantities of fentanyl, cocaine, and cash, as well as multiple arrests.

The operation at 456 Maple Street, Apt. 1LF, was the result of a month-long investigation sparked by tips from local residents who noticed a surge in drug activity in the area.

The Holyoke District Court had issued a search warrant for the location.

Jose D. Famanía-Lasanta, Victor Pabon, Justin Mangual, Tamara Henderson, and Luis M.

Nieves were arrested on various narcotics charges, including possession and intent to distribute fentanyl/heroin and trafficking cocaine.

Authorities have expressed their commitment to combating the illegal drug trade and credited the successful operation to the cooperation among multiple law enforcement divisions and the vital information provided by the community.

The suspects are currently facing charges and the investigation is ongoing.
