Somersworth police seek public’s help in hit-and-run case

SOMERSWORTH — Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a suspect vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident that occurred Monday morning on West High Street.

At around 7:58 a.m., Somersworth Police, along with Fire and EMS, responded to a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

The victim was promptly transported to Wentworth Douglass Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries by Stewart’s Ambulance Service, according to the police.

Authorities have obtained images of the suspect vehicle, which is believed to have sustained “soft body contact” damage on its right side.

The vehicle was last spotted heading north on Route 108 before making a right turn onto West High Street.

In an effort to identify both the vehicle and its operator, police are turning to the community for assistance.

Captain Matthew Duval expressed gratitude for the public’s continued support and underscored the importance of holding individuals accountable for their actions.
