Hartford police seek suspect in attempted robbery at Evans Expressmart

HARTFORD — Police are on the lookout for a male suspect who attempted to rob Evans Expressmart early in the morning on Nov. 8.

According to the Hartford Police Department, the incident occurred around 6 a.m. when an unidentified male entered the store and attempted to commit a robbery.

The suspect was unsuccessful and subsequently fled the scene on foot.

Authorities have provided photos of the suspect, who was last seen wearing jeans, a light grey hoodie with a dark grey puffy vest over it, a baseball cap, and a mask.

Officials have also updated the description of the suspect to include an Adidas hat and have noted the last known direction of travel was Route 4 West headed toward Woodstock.

The case officer, identified as Bennett, urges anyone with information about the incident to contact the Hartford Police Department at 802-295-9425.

Police are asking the public to remain vigilant and report any sightings or information that may lead to the apprehension of the suspect.
