Bakersfield police seek information on suspicious incident near school

BAKERSFIELD — Vermont State Police are investigating a suspicious incident that occurred on Avenue Rd. near Egypt Rd. at 3:10 p.m. on Nov. 8, authorities said.

A 5th-grade student walking home from Bakersfield Elementary School reported that a black sedan with VT registration plates approached her, traveling in the opposite direction.

The vehicle stopped, and two white male individuals exited the car and started walking towards her.

The student ran back to the school and alerted staff, who subsequently contacted the police.

The two males were described as tall and wearing all black; one had a beard, and the other did not.

Their ages are estimated to be between 25 and 45 years old.

As the investigation continues, the Vermont State Police are urging anyone with information about the incident or the individuals involved to contact the St. Albans Barracks at 802-524-5993.
