Woman arrested for DUI and driving with a suspended license in West Rutland

WEST RUTLAND — A single-vehicle crash on Business RT 4 near Main Street led to the arrest of a Poultney woman on charges of driving under the influence and operating a vehicle with a criminally suspended license, Vermont State Police reported.

Troopers from the Rutland Barracks responded to the incident on Nov. 11 at approximately 6:40 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Christen Ward, 25, at the wheel.

While interacting with Ward, troopers noted several signs of impairment.

Ward declined to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI.

She was transported to the State Police Rutland Barracks for processing.

After processing, Ward was released with a citation to appear in Rutland Criminal Court to face the charges of DUI second offense and criminal driving with a suspended license (DLS).
