Somerville police arrest two after finding stolen guns, meth in hotel room

SOMERVILLE — Two individuals were arrested at a hotel in Assembly Row on Nov. 5 after employees discovered stolen firearms and methamphetamine in their room, police said.

Somerville Police were called to the hotel at about 2:50 p.m. following a report from hotel staff who found two guns and two bags of methamphetamine inside a safe during a routine check.

The room was booked under a male and female, who returned to the hotel to retrieve belongings and were subsequently taken into custody by officers at the scene.

Authorities confirmed the recovery of two firearms, both reported stolen, and a significant amount of methamphetamine.

The names of the arrested parties have not been released pending further investigation.
