Sunapee first responders attend to interstate crash

SUNAPEE –– A motor vehicle accident on Interstate 89 northbound at the Exit 12A off-ramp prompted an emergency response from Sunapee Fire, Sunapee Police, New London Hospital EMS, and New Hampshire State Police on Monday morning.

The incident, which occurred at 9:33 a.m., involved a vehicle that sustained heavy damage and came to rest in the high-speed lane.

New London Ambulance provided on-scene treatment for the injured party, who ultimately declined further medical attention.

Emergency crews, including Sunapee Fire and Police as well as State Police, remained on-site to manage the situation.

The vehicle was removed from the scene by Northeast Towing and Collision.

The accident scene was cleared by 10:23 a.m., allowing for the reopening of the high-speed lane to traffic.

No additional information about the cause of the accident or the condition of the patient was immediately available.
