Poultney resident faces charges for violating abuse prevention order

POULTNEY –– A local resident was cited for violating an abuse prevention order and conditions of release following a trespassing complaint.

Vermont State Police responded to the incident on Nov. 1 at approximately 9:22 p.m. at a residence in Poultney.

The investigation revealed that 29-year-old Taylor Kristiansen had breached the terms of an abuse prevention order and existing conditions of release.

Kristiansen was subsequently located and cited to appear at Rutland Superior Court – Criminal Division to answer to the charges.

The Vermont State Police have not released the name of the victim, in accordance with their policy on domestic and sexual assault cases.

The court date for Kristiansen has not been disclosed.
