Enosburg man arrested on multiple domestic assault charges

ENOSBURG –– Vermont State Police arrested a local man on Sunday for a string of domestic assault-related charges, including first-degree aggravated domestic assault.

Dillon Whitney, 26, of Enosburg was taken into custody without incident at approximately 11 a.m. on Main Street after troopers located him regarding an active arrest warrant out of Rutland County.

According to authorities, Whitney faced charges of first-degree aggravated domestic assault, domestic assault, unlawful restraint, and interference with access to emergency services.

Following his arrest, Whitney was lodged at the Northwest State Correctional Facility.

The Vermont State Police St. Albans Barracks, who executed the arrest, have not disclosed further details about the incident leading to the charges.

Whitney is expected to await further legal proceedings concerning his charges.

The case remains under investigation by state police.
