ARLINGTON –– A local man was arrested on suspicion of DUI following a single-vehicle rollover crash late Friday night, according to Vermont State Police.

Authorities reported that at around 10:33 p.m. on Nov. 3, they responded to an incident near Stow-Away Self Storage on VT RT 7a where they found a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado totaled from a rollover.

The driver, identified as 23-year-old Damien Burdick of Arlington, was wearing his seatbelt and did not sustain any injuries.

During the on-site investigation, troopers observed signs of impairment in Burdick’s behavior.

He was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed, leading to his arrest for suspected driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Burdick was transported to Vermont State Police Barracks for further testing and processing.

He was subsequently released with a citation to appear before the Bennington County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on charges of DUI.
