Joint law enforcement operation results in capture of fugitive in Somersworth

SOMERSWORTH –– A multi-agency law enforcement operation on the morning of Friday, November 3, led to the successful capture of Jacob Maciaszek, a fugitive wanted for burglary and escaping custody.

The operation was a coordinated effort involving the Rollinsford Police Department, Somersworth Police Department, New Hampshire Department of Corrections, and the New Hampshire State Police Special Enforcement Unit Aviation Division.

Maciaszek, 32, formerly of Somersworth, was wanted by the Rollinsford Police Department for burglary.

He had escaped custody from the New Hampshire Department of Corrections in Manchester on October 7.

Police located Maciaszek in a wooded area in Somersworth and arrested him without any incident.

He was held without bail at the Strafford County House of Corrections and is set to be arraigned on the burglary charge on Monday, November 6.

No further information will be released at this time, according to Chief Jonathan Uraskevich.
