NORTHFIELD –– A 21-year-old Northfield man was arrested early Thursday morning on charges of aggravated domestic assault and violation of release conditions, according to the Northfield Police Department.
Darries Benjamin is accused of causing bodily injury to a household member.
He was taken into custody after officers were dispatched to a reported assault at a residence around 4:31 a.m. on Nov. 2, according to police.
Following his arrest, Benjamin was brought to Northfield PD for processing.
He was lodged for lack of $10,000 bail pending arraignment.
The accused is scheduled to appear in Washington Superior Court-Criminal Division later Thursday.
Based on the severity of the charges, if convicted, Benjamin could face significant penalties, including imprisonment and substantial fines.
