MANCHESTER –– Two men were arrested in connection with a violent assault that left a 34-year-old man with serious injuries outside a local bar last month, according to Manchester Police.

The assault took place on September 29, around 12:45 a.m. outside McGarvey’s Bar at 1097 Elm Street.

The victim was found in an alleyway by police, bleeding and suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

The reporting party did not witness the assault, but heard a disturbance outside the bar. Upon opening the door, she found the victim on the ground and saw two men fleeing the scene.

Through their investigation, police identified 29-year-old Payson Tracy of Allenstown and 34-year-old Damon Carter of New Boston as suspects.

Warrants were issued for their arrest, charging both men with first-degree assault. Carter also faces an additional charge of falsifying evidence.

Both Tracy and Carter turned themselves into Manchester Police on October 30.
