MANCHESTER –– A 51-year-old Manchester man has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of possessing and distributing child sexual abuse images, according to local law enforcement.

Leroy Simond II was taken into custody on October 23, following an investigation launched by Manchester Police in response to information received from the Concord Police Department in late September.

The investigation led to a search warrant being executed at Simond’s home in Manchester, where several electronic devices were seized.

The devices were found to contain thousands of child sexual abuse images.

Simond has been charged with 20 counts in total, initially facing 10 counts of possessing child sexual abuse images and later an additional 10 counts of distributing the same.

Following his arrest, Simond was initially held on preventative detention.

He is currently being held at the Valley Street Jail on a $1,000 cash bail.
