Driver arrested for DUI, criminal DLS in Rutland

RUTLAND — A 25-year-old man from Brandon was arrested following an incident in Rutland yesterday.

Police say they initiated a traffic stop on Business Route 4 at around 6:10 p.m.

The driver was identified as James Kennedy.

During the stop, police say they observed indicators of impairment.

Kennedy was administered standardized field sobriety tests and was taken into custody for DUI and transported to the State Police Rutland barracks for processing.

A records check also indicated that Kennedy’s license was criminally suspended.

He was processed and released on a citation to appear in court for the charges of DUI and criminal DLS.
