Hooksett man arrested for drug sales, felonious firearm use

HOOKSETT –– Following a months-long investigation, local police have arrested a Hooksett man on charges of drug sales and felonious use of a firearm.

Stephen Quinn, 69, was taken into custody on Oct. 24, after police executed a search warrant at his home at 13 Scott Ave.

The warrant was the result of numerous tips about possible illegal activity at the residence.

Officers from the Hooksett Police Department seized large quantities of methamphetamine and gamma hydroxybutyrate (GHB), along with a 9mm pistol during the search on June 26.

Quinn is facing two counts of possession/sales of a controlled drug and one count of felonious use of a firearm, all felonies.

An arrest warrant for Quinn was granted on Oct. 23, 2023.

The arrest took place at 7:41 a.m. during a traffic stop.

Quinn was transported to the Hooksett Police Department, where he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

This discovery led to additional charges of possession and transportation of a controlled drug.

Quinn is being held on $5,000 cash bail and is set to be arraigned on Oct. 25, at the Merrimack Superior Court.
