NEWPORT — The Newport Police Department is currently investigating a shocking incident of vandalism involving several school buses at the town bus garage.

The authorities have yet to release the details of the damage incurred or the number of buses involved.

However, they assure the public that they are doing everything to solve the case promptly.

The department is urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist in the investigation.

Local police said this a senseless act that not only incurs substantial costs to the school district taxpayers but also disrupts the safe transportation of students.
