Driver arrested for DUI, possession of narcotics in Bradford

BRADFORD — A 48-year-old man was arrested in Bradford yesterday.

Police say they initiated a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation on Vermont Route 25 and US Route 5 at around 10:00 p.m.

Police say that the driver, Christopher Kirk, of Corinth, was operating an unregistered vehicle with a suspended license.

Kirk was displaying signs of drug impairment, police say.

He was found to be in possession of narcotics.

He also had court conditions to not use illegal drugs.

He was placed under arrest for driving with a suspended license, suspicion of DUI drug, possession of narcotics, and violation of conditions of release.

He was issued a citation and released to the custody of North East Correctional Facility.
