THETFORD — A 57-year-old man was arrested for domestic assault in Thetford early this morning.
Authorities say they were notified of a physical altercation between household members in the area of Newton Lane at around 1:50 a.m.
Police say they responded to the scene and made contact with both parties involved.
Police allege that Kevin Brayton, of Thetford, was the primary aggressor and had caused injury to a household member.
Brayton was taken into custody and transported to the Vermont State Police Bradford Outpost for processing.
He was later cited to appear in court today and issued conditions of release before being released to an uninvolved relative.
