Lyndonville man cited for leaving scene of property damage accident

LYNDONVILLE –– A Lyndonville man has been cited for leaving the scene of an accident resulting in property damage, according to the Lyndonville Police Department.

The incident occurred on Pinehurst Street around 4:43 p.m. on Oct. 20.

Police received a complaint that a black convertible was seen striking a mailbox and lilac trees before narrowly missing a telephone pole and driving away.

The driver, identified as 24-year-old Cody Ridgway of Sutton, was later located by police.

He was issued two Vermont Civil Violation Complaints and several verbal warnings, in addition to being cited into Caledonia Superior Court.

The property damaged in the incident belonged to 36-year-old Eunice Skinner of Lyndon.

Ridgway is set to appear in court in December according to Officer Gerrish of the Lyndonville Police Department.
