Henniker police seek identities of reckless off-road drivers

1 min read

HENNIKER –– Henniker Police Department is seeking help from the public to identify the operators of a light green and white dirt bike and a four-wheeler, following numerous complaints about reckless driving and damaging roads in Weare and Henniker.

The complaints detail the two vehicles, one a four-wheeler carrying a passenger, driving recklessly and causing extensive damage to local roads.

The police attempted to stop the vehicles on Craney Pond Road, a location not designated as an approved trail road, but were unable to pursue due to the restricted capability of the patrol cruiser on the class 6 road.

The police department is urging anyone with information about the identities of these operators to come forward so charges can be pressed.

The actions of these individuals are negatively impacting the reputation of the local off-roading community, who wish to continue using the trail system responsibly.

The Henniker Police Department can be contacted directly with any relevant information.
