Sunapee Fire Department responds to two rollovers within hours

SUNAPEE –– Two rollovers occurring within six hours resulted in the Sunapee Fire Department, New London Ambulance and Sunapee Police responding to both incidents on Wednesday.

The first accident occurred at 4:23 a.m. on Route 103, where one patient was injured and subsequently transported to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) by ambulance.

Both the Sunapee Fire Department and Sunapee Police were cleared from the scene by 5:53 a.m.

At 10:08 a.m., the same teams were called to another rollover on Route 11 near Cooper Street.

This incident resulted in three patients, with only two needing transportation to New London Hospital (NLH) by ambulance.

Route 11 was briefly shut down at around 10:50 a.m. to allow towing companies to remove the vehicles involved.

The scene was ultimately cleared by Sunapee Fire, Sunapee Police, and New Hampshire State Police at 11:12 a.m.

Pictures of the incidents were provided by bystanders and later submitted to the Fire Department.
