Putney man faces disorderly conduct charge

PUTNEY –– A Putney man was charged with disorderly conduct after an incident at his residence, according to the Windham County Sheriff’s Office.

On Oct. 14, deputies from the patrol division responded to a call on U.S Route 5.

The investigation led by Detective Sgt. Mario Checchi and Deputy Thomas Raymond revealed that James R. Rowe, 58, had committed the crime of disorderly conduct.

Rowe was issued a Vermont Criminal Citation and is due to appear at the Windham Superior Court Criminal Division at a date yet to be announced.

He was released on the scene after the citation was issued.

The deputies did not provide additional details about the incident that led to Rowe’s arrest.

The case remains under investigation.
