KILLINGTON –– A 71-year-old Jupiter, Florida man was arrested for driving under the influence after crashing his vehicle down an embankment and sustaining a head injury on Oct. 16.

Andrew A. Sadanowicz was identified as the driver who veered his car off Killington Road and into the parking lot of Jax’s Bar at 7:23 p.m., according to local authorities.

Officer Gregory Ricketts and Chief Montgomery were dispatched to the scene, where they found Sadanowicz with a head injury.

Ricketts, upon speaking with Sadanowicz, observed several indicators of impairment. Sadanowicz was asked to perform standardized sobriety tests, which he failed to perform satisfactorily.

Following his arrest, Sadanowicz was taken to the Killington Police Department for processing. He was later released to the Rutland Regional Medical Center for treatment of his head injury.
