ORANGE — A 31-year-old man was arrested following an incident in Orange.

Authorities say they were notified of an assault at a home on Bisson Road at around 2:00 a.m. on September 30.

Police say they responded to the scene and met with the victim outside the home.

Police allege that Jeremy Colburn, of Orange, had struck a 21-year-old woman from Cabot, causing pain.

When troopers made contact with Colburn, he became combative and resisted arrest.

Police say Colburn kicked one of the responding troopers while being taken into custody.

He was released on a citation to appear in court for the charges of simple assault, assault on law enforcement, and resisting arrest.
