4 people charged after fight in Fairlee

FAIRLEE — Four people were cited for disorderly conduct following an incident in Fairlee on Friday.

Authorities say they were notified of a fight in progress involving multiple people at the Express Lane convenience store at around 12:30 p.m.

Following an investigation, it was found that Tait Jones, 55, of Corinth, began acting disorderly by obstructing vehicular traffic and using obscene language towards Richard Slack, 64, of Thetford, and Joseph Slack, 34, of Thetford.

Police say a physical altercation ensued between Jones, Richard, and Joseph, resulting in bodily injury to Jones.

During the altercation, Barbara Cota, 52, of Corinth, threw Richard’s cell phone which resulted in damage.

All parties involved were issued citations to appear in court at a later date.
