RUTLAND — A 38-year-old man from Clarendon was arrested on a warrant in Rutland on Friday.

Police say they attempted to stop a vehicle on North Main Street at around 11:35 p.m.

The vehicle fled from the trooper’s lights and siren in a grossly negligent manner and police discontinued attempting to stop the vehicle.

Troopers were able to identify the driver as Bobby Maniery and located the vehicle at a home known to him.

A search warrant was issued and Maniery was located inside the home and taken into custody.

He was transported to the Vermont State Police Rutland barracks for processing before being lodged at Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility.

Maniery was also issued a criminal citation to appear in court for the charges of eluding, grossly negligent operation, resisting arrest, and a warrant.
