Morristown police seek public’s help in identifying hit-and-run driver

MORRISTOWN –– The Morristown Police Department is appealing to the public for help in identifying the driver of a white or silver sport utility vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident this morning.

The vehicle was captured on video leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash at the junction of the Bypass and Stafford Avenue around 10:13 a.m.

Authorities say the SUV was seen heading southbound on the Bypass.

The police are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Officer Cole Charbonneau at the Morristown Police Department at 802-888-4211.

The identity of the driver remains unknown, and no injuries were reported at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
