MANCHESTER –– Two people were arrested early Friday morning after allegedly trespassing in a house that was under construction on Pearl Street, according to local police.

The Manchester Police reported that they received a call that a man and a woman had entered the supposed-to-be vacant house. Using a PA system, the officers ordered the individuals to come out.

The woman complied immediately, while the man initially refused, even climbing onto the roof of the house before returning inside. He finally exited the house around 4:30 a.m.

The man was identified as William Farnsworth, 30, and the woman as Emma Varley, 25, both of Manchester.

Both Farnsworth and Varley, who have no set addresses, are charged with criminal trespass. Farnsworth is also charged with resisting arrest.

In addition to the trespassing charge, Varley was found to have an outstanding electronic bench warrant.

The police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
