Cyclist injured during crash in Cornwall

CORNWALL — A 23-year-old cyclist from New Jersey was injured during a crash in Cornwall yesterday.

Authorities say they were notified of a motor vehicle vs. bicycle at the intersection of Vermont Route 30 and Vermont Route 74 at around 4:40 p.m.

According to the report, Danette F. Grant, 62, of Shoreham, was traveling south on Vermont Route 30 and Grayson Shanley Barr, 23, of Princeton, NJ, was traveling south on Vermont Route 30 prior to the crash.

Police say Grant began to take a right onto Vermont Route 74 when she hit Barr.

The cyclist was transported to Porter Medical Center for injuries.

Troopers were assisted on the scene by members of the Middlebury Rescue Squad and the Cornwall Fire Department.
